Dr. Kandarp Shah is a board-certified gastroenterologist with over
20 years of experience. He has served on the teaching faculty at
UCSF-Fresno. He is a highly skilled endoscopist who performs a variety
of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including colonoscopy,
esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), ERCP, capsule endoscopy, etc.
Dr. Shah was born in England and went to medical school in India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Wayne State University. His fellowship in gastroenterology was at the renowned William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. Dr. William Beaumont is considered by many to be the father of gastroenterology. Dr. Shah has served on the teaching faculty of EVMS and UCSF-Fresno for many years. He is recognized as a very highly skilled endoscopist by his colleagues and nurses. He has special interest in cancer prevention and early detection.
Dr. Kalyani Shah has been practicing gastroenterology for over 10 years. She specializes in
women’s health including bowel issues, diarrhea, constipation, indigestion,
reflux, bloating, etc. Dr. Shah was selected by the International Association of
Healthcare Professionals as a 2011 Top Gastroenterologist. She is also a member
of the American Society of Bariatric Medicine and has a special interest in
helping patients lose weight
Dr. Kalyani Shah was born in India. She is a granddaughter of the founder of an Ayurvedic college in Surat, India. After graduating from medical school in India, she received her training in Detroit and Cleveland. She has the background of both modern medicine and the ancient art and science of Ayurveda to help her patients more fully.
